PAINESVILLE, Ohio– A Painesville man’s worker compensation fraud was caught on video. The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation said Mark Walker was collecting disability for almost five years while working for his business, Mark’s Handyman Service. Weapon found at Painesville’s Harvey High School

PAINESVILLE, Ohio– Police in Painesville are investigating after a weapon was found in a high school bathroom. Painesville police said school officials found out about an alleged weapon hidden in the bathroom at Harvey High School. The school resource officer recovered the item. School officials said the building was never placed on lockdown.  A K-9 unit from the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office searched Harvey High School. Police said they will test the weapon to determine if it is an operational firearm.

The sheriff’s office said a person is calling residents and telling them they have warrants out for their arrests. Lanes back open on Interstate 90 east in Lake County after crash

PAINESVILLE, Ohio– A stretch of Interstate 90 east in Lake County was closed Monday afternoon after a multiple-car crash. ODOT said the highway was shut down between state Route 44 and Vrooman Road. Concord fire officials said the crash involved three cars and one semi-truck. Two people were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

PAINESVILLE, Ohio — A portion of Route 2 westbound in Painesville was closed Friday night because of a three-car crash. According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the area was closed at Route 535 — Fairport Nursery Road.  It reopened a few hours later. No other details were immediately released.
