Painesville police searching for Perkins robbery suspect

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – Police are searching for a man who robbed a Perkins Restaurant Thursday evening. According to Painesville police, the man entered the Perkins on 700 Mentor Ave. and pulled out a silver handgun. He was able to get some money before taking off. He is described as wearing a grey hooded-sweatshirt, blue jeans, white shoes, gloves and a camouflage mask. PAINESVILLE, Ohio- A man in wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting in Painesville Wednesday night. A 31-year-old Cleveland man suffered a gunshot wound to his arm just before 11 p.m. on Mentor Avenue in Painesville, police said. The victim was taken to Tri-Point Hospital, where he was treated and released. Painesville police are now looking to question Quinitin Gaines. Two Lake County jail inmates die in unrelated incidents

PAINESVILLE, Ohio– Two inmates of the Lake County adult detention facility died in separate and unrelated incidents over the past 24 hours, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office says. A 25-year-old man was found unresponsive in his cell at about 5:25 p.m. Monday. Paramedics took him to TriPoint Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. PAINESVILLE, Ohio– The Painesville Police Department is investigating the death of a 68-year-old man. Officers were called to a home on Chardon Street at about 11:39 a.m. Saturday to check into the upstairs tenant, Robert Moore. Detectives are treating this as a homicide, but the cause and manner of death have not been determined.
