PAINESVILLE, Ohio– The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents to be on alert for a phone scam. The sheriff’s office said a person is calling residents and telling them they have warrants out for their arrests. The caller tells victims they can pay bail money over the phone to have a later court date.
